Faffing Friday #35 April 2025 Edition
Kitchen wall art, feeling the EFT love, day time disco fever & top streaming recommendations ... it's all here.
I know I keep saying this but how fast is this year whizzing by?
Here’s my April Faffing - things I’ve enjoyed reading, watching, buying and doing - basically everything that’s brought me joy this month.
SHOPPING 🛍️ My purchases continue to be mostly still around interiors this month. I’ve been putting some more finishing touches to our kitchen renovation that was completed just a few days before Christmas last year. I’m a big believer in sitting with things before I make too many decisions.
With that in mind, it’s been all about the wall this month.
I’m now the owner of these three Fox & Velvet prints. I bought the big A1 size to really make a statement. They are from East End Prints.

Then there’s this Embroidered ‘Would Eat Here Again’ Slogan Wall Art in another part of the kitchen where we have a little feature shelf against the brick wall backdrop. The text and stars are embroidered and I thought it was such good value for money.
This is the perfect spot for it as it’s actually a nod to Mr B’s cooking because he is the chef around here 😊

LEARNING 👩🏼🏫 April’s been a busy month for my EFT training and studying. You can read here about how I got started ⤵
I’ve been deep in delivering sessions this month to build up my practice hours. I can’t believe how much I’m really enjoying it. I mean I knew/hoped I would but it seems like it was meant for me. I’m looking for some more volunteers particularly around phobias, Imposter Syndrome, lack of confidence, post divorce, new parents, ADHD, stress, sleep problems, menopause, parenting stress, grief. Anything really!
I do have a waitlist now but please do message me. UK only at the moment.
I also had the pleasure of being invited to speak about my EFT Tapping journey at a wonderful event in Newcastle to a fabulous group of female entrepreneurs; Together We Rise North East.
I created a custom meditation guide especially for the event and an ‘I Am Enough’ EFT Tapping sequence. Here we all are after taking part.
I was overjoyed at some of the feedback, too ..
“Sharon was absolutely brilliant! Some EFT was just what I needed.”
“Came away feeling much calmer.”
“I left feeling uplifted and inspired to act on something personal I’ve been putting off for a long time.”
DISCO FEVER 🪩 Finally got the chance to try out a Day Fever event. This had been on my radar for ages and it didn’t disappoint. I’m looking forward to another opportunity for daytime disco-ing. Home with pjs on by 9pm. What’s not to love?
STREAMING 🍿 This month I mostly enjoyed watching Celebrity Big Brother but some of my other favourites have included:
Mobland .. loving Pierce Brosnan in this and of course Helen Mirren .. what juicy roles. It’s gangster and a bit slapstick in some ways but very addictive. You have to wait a week for each episode … we’ve forgotten that’s how everything used to work, haven’t we? Makes you look forward to it more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hacks is back with Season 4. I’ve shared before how much I really enjoy this show and the relationship between Deborah and Ava. It’s flawless and so so funny. Weekly episodes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I finally watched Robbie Williams’ Better Man and it was waaaayyyy better than I thought it would be. Robbie is played by a CGI chimpanzee and to be honest I think that is why I thought it might be be naff. I was so wrong. It’s raw and candid and very touching and funny ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SUBSTACK UNIVERSE 🧡 Each month I share insightful Substacks I’ve enjoyed reading so you can discover, too:
- Speaking truth to tech gods: I return to TED.
- Menopause or Mental Health? Why GPs Keep Getting It Wrong.
- What If Patriarchy Is the Cult We Never Realised We Joined?
That’s a wrap for April.
PS. If you fancied supporting me by buying one of my t-shirts or totes then I feel it’s my duty to let you know that there’s another free UK shipping offer this weekend. Now until midnight Sunday.
I love May - it’s my birthday month so I’ll have quite a bit to share with you in next month’s edition. Oh and I’m thinking of renaming it to ‘Life Lately’. What do you think? Faffing doesn’t seem to work now that I don’t do it weekly. Let me know in the comments 💗
