Last year I left corporate life. I wasn't really quiet about it though π Since, I trained to become a Certified Professional Coach, took a bucket-list trip to London/Paris, started and LLC and joined a local band just to name a few. I've given up a lot of things to continue living within my means and I've never been happier!
What a fabulous post! π We may be getting older, but we are NOT done yet. We just bought a camper van and now all of our friends think we must have 'retired'! No way! We are just off to see the world and enjoying a bit more freedom from work stress. Along with our dog! π
Thanks Jacqui! I love that this stage of our lives can be so much about adventure! There is no reason at all why we can't have work we enjoy AND make time for adventures .. like your camper van adventures!
My youngest son keeps asking if I am semi retired and I just keep saying no .. just designing the life I want to live now! π
Iβm not retired but certainly not working at the level I used to - the thing I value the most is time choice - I might well spend some time in a cardigan (well, a hoodie!) doing a crossword and whatβs great about that is that I can if I want to.
Iβm very much with you on this. Iβm so happy to be finally in a position to do more of what I love but also with more freedom. I did a crossword for the first time in years while on holiday in Ibiza laid on a sunbed. My husband does them all the time & he roped me in on the ones he was stuck on. Not that I was much help but I admit I really enjoyed it.
