George, Brad and Colin!! πŸ› I hadn’t watched that red carpet moment before you mentioned it in your Note - have loved catching the red carpet coverage from Venice, it’s felt so old-school Hollywood 🌟! Have a wonderful weekend celebrating πŸ₯³, and super-impressed re: kitchen reno in progress (oh, and the small matter of the Ted Talk!! Huge well done!!!🀩). XO

So much to chat about... firstly thank you for the mention, lovely! Made my day :D

Also a Jason & the Argonauts fan. I'll watch any Ray Harryhausen movie, so glad they get repeated on TV a lot!

Brad + George = consistent good value for money. Two GOATs for the price of one.

Talk Ted: I'd be shitting myself, you are AMAZING for doing it!! Can't wait to watch!

Love your Friday faffing, sorry I don't always comment... must try harder. Happy weekend Sharon!

Decline, indeed!! I hadn’t seen that article. Thanks for sharing. And congrats on your TedTalk.

It was all over my LI ... shocking how tone deaf Indeed were. Their own CEO is classed as in his decline era by their own standards. Wonder how he feels?

I'm very scared and also very excited that my Ted Talk is coming up fast, Sue.

Have a good weekend xo

It's a shocker, Sharon. An era of career decline - what a patronising idea.

Same to you x

A new subscriber here and loving your faffs. Sorry to not be a paying one but I stopped working earlier this year, moved to the coast with the idea of spending a long hot summer sitting on the beach whilst watching the pennies. Well, that didn't happen. More likely to be huddled in a shelter on the Prom waiting for the rain to stop. Fingers crossed now for an Indian summer. Nothing wrong with being optimistic!

I have thought about getting myself a little part time job and regularly look to see what Indeed has to offer but as I'm very much in the decline phase, I don't hold out too much hope that anyone will want this elderly woman who is dependable (as long as her decrepit body holds out ) has years of experience and will take cake into work!

I binge watched Kaos one wet Sunday and loved it. Mainly because I read Circe by Madeline Miller last year which got me interested in Greek mythology. Who would have thought that Zeus wore track suits!

I must add Want to my reading pile. I wonder if my local library has it to borrow?

Zeus looks good in his Adidas, doesn't he? πŸ˜†

I'm very happy to welcome you here, Brigitte 😊 Nobody puts us in a corner, hey? Decline my a**e!!!

Do libraries still do that thing where they can order in for you? xo

I might have to persevere with Kaos , can’t say I was wowed and gave up at episode 3 . May go back to it . I was struggling to find something to watch and so revisited Mad Men , forgot how good this was and have got completely immersed in it . Slow horses has been on my list for a while so going to sign up again for Apple TV and start this on Sunday . Colin the caterpillar has been a tradition in our house for my son’s birthday every year since he was 1 and he’s 34 this year . Enjoy ☺️

I'm sure you might enjoy like I did when I persevered a bit further, Gaynor.

That's spooky you've rewatched Mad Men!! About a week or so ago we added it back into our watch list because Mr B didn't do it first time around. It's so good isn't it?

You'll love Slow Horses. I'll look forward to hearing what you think.

I must not forget to get a Colin today!!!! 🀣 Have a good weekend xo
