We absolutely can take up challenges and new opportunities. I think it’s a case of looking outwards and being open to things. I’m lucky that I work mainly in the tech sector, where there’s a lot of younger workers and lots of high energy and new thinking, which is quite infectious. Like you though, I’ve noticed some people seem to withdraw from life and stop looking for joy and challenges and that’s so sad. I’ve recently taken up drumming (I’m 66) and just passed my first exam with distinction. One exam down, only nine to go!

Thanks for joining in, Julie!

I work the in tech sector too - for almost 20 years now and I love the intergenerational mix although there are few 60+ females around but hopefully paving the way for more.

How wonderful that you've taken up drumming .. I love that 🥁 I'm sure you'll nail the next nine exams🥁

I've joined a rock choir last month. Been on my bucket list for ages and finally found one that would have me .. lol ... I can't sing 🤣 Music is good for the ageing brain apparently.

Ah brilliant, I hope you’re loving it! I think anything new that your brain has to learn must be good for it. Use it or lose it and all that.
