I’ve written content online for longer than I can remember. Actually, I can remember. It’s about 19 years. I’ve written tons of content for all sorts of businesses; fashion, the legal sector, the gift industry, digital marketing, ecommerce and sustainability to name a few topics.

In 2017 I started to write for myself as a hobby, a sort of creative outlet. Then it also became a self help project from an earnest search for menopause information. When I couldn’t find anything that was when I started to record my own journey. As recent as 2017-18 there was very little information and certainly no stories of what other women were experiencing. Davina had’t been on TV yet.

I won an award for it, too early on. What a thrill that was.

I found I really enjoyed documenting lifestyle stuff like travel and interiors along with general midlife musings and opinions.

Basically, that’s what you’ll get from me .. a life much like yours .. things that make me happy, things that make me sad and all the in betweens.

You can still read all my old blog posts here.

Enjoy! x

Fancy joining me?

What I’m hoping for is to connect with more midlife and later life women who have a lot to say and think just like me. I love Instagram for the fabulous connections I’ve made and so I’m hoping that my little corner of Substack can give me more of that.

I’m feel more confident than ever. On my Instagram profile I’ve used ‘Older & Bolder’ in my description of me. It’s right. I want to be bolder by showing up and using my voice to advocate for ageing on our own terms. We deserve it.

Let’s just see what happens, hey?

Stay up-to-date with me

What I also love about Substack … what don’t I seem to love? It’s the ways in which it seems to help us connect. Every new edition of my newsletter will go directly to your inbox.

There’s more newness coming to Substack all the time that seems will help us connect even more.

It’s a disrupter for sure.

For now I feel this is where I need to be.

I hope you’ll join me.
